A hackathon project that became a first-place finish: an AI-powered community safety and emergency intelligence platform that analyzes incident reports, generates actionable insights and improves emergency response.

02The pivot

From a community brain feed to an award-winning safety tool.

Sentry wasn’t the original plan. At first I was building a real-time “community brain” feed. As the hackathon went on, I realized there was a much more pressing problem: campus safety and emergency response.

So I pivoted entirely, redesigning and rebuilding the platform in one night, with Google DeepMind’s Gemma 4 doing the incident triage. It took first place at the Build with Gemma: GenAI for SDGs hackathon.

03Interface

Engineered for reliability.

The dashboard is dark-mode first, built for security personnel, and pairs AI triage with rapid response workflows.
